Arrival of the Judges/Guests at the NOVOTEL
One of the highly anticipated dog show events in Asia,
the Philippine Circuit Show was successfully held again at
the very well-known venue, the Smart-Araneta Coliseum in
Quezon City, Philippines last January 16, 17, 18 & 19, 2020.
When the Taal volcano erupted 4 days before the show,
several flights were cancelled due to the volcanic ashes
that reached up to Metro Manila. The club was very wor-
ried then because the foreign exhibitors may not be able to
come due to so many cancelled flights. Luckily, the airlines
resumed their flights two days after the eruption. Some of the
foreign exhibitors that were affected by the cancelled flights
were able to rebook their flights and made it to the show.
This year’s Philippine Circuit Show had set a record in the history of the Philippine
Canine Club, Inc. (PCCI) with 652 dog show entries, 186 of which were foreign
entries from 21 different countries. This is also the first in the history of the Philip-
pine Circuit Show that the entries owned by PCCI members had won most of the
Best in Show awards. There were so many beautiful dogs. There were also some
very rare breeds that one may only encounter in events like the circuit show.
