The Philippine Canine Club Inc. (“PCCI”) respects your privacy on our website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website www.pcci.org.ph including any other media form, media channel, mobile website, or mobile application related to or connected thereto (collectively, the “Site”). Please read this privacy policy carefully. If you do not agree with any of the terms in this privacy policy, please do not access the site.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date of this Privacy Policy. Any changes or modifications will be effective immediately upon posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Site, and you waive the right to receive specific notice of each such change or modification.

You will be deemed to have been made aware of, will be subject to, and will be deemed to have accepted the changes in any revised Privacy Policy by your continued use of the Site after the date such revised Privacy Policy is posted.

Personal Data

Personally identifiable information, such as your name, shipping address, email address, and telephone number, and demographic information, such as your age, gender, hometown, and interests, that you voluntarily give to us when you register with the site or when you choose to participate in various activities related to the Site, such as online chat and message boards and subscription to newsletters and promotional emails. You are under no obligation to provide us with personal information of any kind, however your refusal to do so may prevent you from using certain features of the Site.

Personal and other information you may provide when entering contests or giveaways and/or responding to surveys.

Winners, Awardees, Participants in Dog Shows, Contests or Other Related Events

We may share or publish information relating to persons who have won, received awards or participated in our dog shows, contests or other related events. This information may be published in our website, magazines, posters, flyers, or other related marketing platforms, including, but not limited to, official social media accounts of PCCI. Participation in any official dog show, contest, promotions and other related events of PCCI is deemed as consent to collect, process, store and reasonably share or publish the participant’s information relating to the show, contest, promotion or event that he or she participated in. Should the participant wish to remove certain information relating to himself or herself from PCCI’s website, the participant may ask PCCI to do so, using the contact information provided herein. Failure to ask PCCI to remove such information after 30 days from the date of publishing such information, is deemed as a waiver of the participant’s right to remove the same.

By Law or to Protect Rights

If we believe the release of information about you is necessary to respond to legal process, to investigate or remedy potential violations of our policies, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of others, we may share your information as permitted or required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation. This includes exchanging information with other entities for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION

While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse. Any information disclosed online is vulnerable to interception and misuse by unauthorized parties. Therefore, we cannot guarantee complete security if you provide personal information.

POLICY FOR CHILDREN

CONTROLS FOR DO-NOT-TRACK FEATURES

Most web browsers and some mobile operating systems include a Do-Not-Track (“DNT”) feature or setting you can activate to signal your privacy preference not to have data about your online browsing activities monitored and collected. No uniform technology standard for recognizing and implementing DNT signals has been finalized. As such, we do not currently respond to DNT browser signals or any other mechanism that automatically communicates your choice not to be tracked online. If a standard for online tracking is adopted that we must follow in the future, we will inform you about that practice in a revised version of this Privacy Policy.

COPYRIGHT

The contents found in our website, magazines, posters, flyers, and other marketing materials, such as, but not limited to, (1) articles, (2) pictures, (3) videos, and (4) all other materials originally authored by PCCI not specifically mentioned herein, shall be subject to the laws on copyright under the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (R.A. 8293), international conventions and other relevant laws. Any unauthorized use, sale, reproduction or distribution, is illegal and shall be dealt with in accordance with the law. Unauthorized use, sale, reproduction, or distribution is understood as those without the express written consent of PCCI. PCCI reserves the right to use personal information provided by its users to institute proceedings, to enforce claims and to undertake all legal actions necessary for the protection of its copyright and all other rights as may be provided for under the Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines and other relevant laws.

PRIVACY RIGHTS

R.A. 10173 also known as the “Data Privacy Act of 2012” allows the processing of personal information subject to compliance with the requirements of the said act and other laws allowing disclosure of information to the public and adherence to the principles of transparency, legitimate purpose and proportionality.
