Philippines Wins Seat in FCI Asia & the Pacific Section General Commitee

Philippine Canine Club Chairman and President, Augusto Benedicto S. Santos III, was elected to the General Committee of FCI Asia & the Pacific Section in the recently concluded General Assembly meeting, held last August 25, in Seoul, Korea. This underscored the confidence that the other member countries in our region have on PCCI's ability to contribute to the governing body that will oversee the section's operations. Of the nine countries that ran, our country represented by our Chairman tied the elections for fourth place with Taiwan. The complete list of winning delegates who will serve for four (4) years are listed below:

Japan       : Takemi Nagamura (President)
Korea     : Dr. Park
Singapore : Jina Williams
Philippines : Dinky Santos
Taiwan      : Ho Jeng-Lo
India : Philip John

The new General Committee will be in office for four years until 2015 when a new set will be elected. The FCI Asia & the Pacific Section presently consists of 15 Asian countries.
